********************************

It's Garbage Day and
30 degrees at 6:30 Monday morning.

I was going to post a picture of my back yard as it looks this morning,  but I decided that that would have been cruel.

(It's all WHITE out there!)

In fact, when Jeff Reynolds looked out of the big window at the Library yesterday afternoon and saw this, he wrote:
"Spare Us!"

Just focus on the forecast.

The Monday morning Weather Forecast from TWCNY:

"Warmer and Quiet, Mild Start to April.

Look for any precipitation to wind down this morning, with brighter skies emerging during the afternoon. It will be al ittle breezy, wamrer and quiet. Highs in the 40s.

Tuesday will likely be the nicest day of the week. High temperatures will flirt with 60 in some spots. A cool front will move through late Tuesday night and knock temperatures back down to seasonable levels for the middle of the week.

A lingering shower will also be possible Wednesday."

IN THE NEWS

From the Observer-Dispatch.

*****
Sunday Ride-around

It was drippy and foggy, around noontime.  There were a few customers at Morgan's, on West Main Street ......

.............. and on East Main Street cars belonging to parishioners of SouthGate Ministries and The Waterville Baptist Church lined both sides of the street.

North of the Village, fog hung around the old maples at Hanover Green .....

... and this was the view looking farther North past Sally and Fredolyn's place!

At least the stone wall at the top of Grant Hill was recognizable even if West Hill, in the distance, was not!

************

High Water!

At the Dugway, south of Clinton.

The Sangerfield River was 'way out of its banks at Loomis Road, too.

Although Big Creek was not producing its usual Springtime roar and there was no flooding at the usual spots - at the Rt. 12 underpass, on Osborn Avenue or Conger Ave. - it appeared to have flowed over its banks across from Elaine Peterson's just enough to wash out some soil around Norm Cowen's Fisherman's Chair!

"Are you sure that we're in the right place?"

Waiting for more snow and ice to melt, two pairs of Canada Geese explored the pond next to Madison Street just beyond the Moon residence.
