Thursday morning update

It's Garbage Day.
44 degrees and dry at 5:45 a.m.

FROST!
from Ed Abbe, received at 7:00 a.m.

The TWCNY Weather Forecast:

"Breezy and Cool Today, Frosty for Some Tonight?
A backdoor cold front will slip through this morning and produce quite a few clouds and possibly a passing shower/sprinkle or two.  Highs today will only make the low 60s, and probably fall a bit later this afternoon, despite sunshine developing.  Behind the front, a chilly, drier air mass will blow in on a north-northeast wind this afternoon and set us up for a near record cold night tonight that MAY result in frost for some away from the lakes and cities late tonight into the start of Friday.  The record low temperature for Syracuse Friday is 35 set back in 1959.  So if you have tender vegetation/flowers outside you may want to bring them in tonight or cover them up before going to bed tonight, otherwise you may lose, or experience damage to them.
After the cold start Friday, tons of sun will shine and help push readings back into the low to mid 60s, and a bit of southerly breeze should develop too later in the day on the backside of high pressure.
The weekend outlook is a much warmer one!  A warm front will scoot through Saturday morning with clouds and maybe a shower or two, and in it's wake a gusty southwest wind will blow, and temperatures will jump into the 70s for both Saturday and Sunday.  Unfortunately, come Sunday afternoon some showers and a few storms will likely move through with a strong cold front and really cool us off once again for late Sunday into the first part of next week, as fall officially arrives Monday evening at 10:29pm.  Highs early next week will likely only be within a few degrees of 60 with a few lake showers possible. "

SPECIAL NOTICE!

Regarding the proposed Putnam Street Zoning Change:

THERE WILL NOT BE A PUBLIC HEARING
or "Question / Answer Session"
at Village Hall
NEXT MONDAY NIGHT.

Such a meeting will not take place until such time as
the Planning Board has received all the information that is required from Mr. Sullivan.  As of this morning - Wednesday - Mr. David O'Brien, Chairman of the Waterville Planning Board,  said that the Board is "still lacking two or three" essential items, one of which is the "Environmental Impact Statement."

When a date has been set for a Public Participatory Meeting
of the Village Board and the Planning Board
it will be announced well in advance.

That will probably NOT happen until some time in October.

Have a grand weekend, everyone!
