It's Garbage Day.

The temperature was 3.4 degrees at 7:00 a.m.
and by 7:30 weak sunshine was lighting up several inches of puffy snow that reminded me of old-fashioned "Ivory Flakes."

As soon as nearly all of the schools in this area had announced closures, yesterday morning, the snow stopped at about 4" and only a couple more inches accumulated during the rest of the day.

Last night around 8:00.

This morning at 7:00.

The TWCNY Weather Forecast:

"Cold, but Quiet, Staying Cold!

For today, significant improvement is expected. It will be partly sunny, brisk and cold with scattered flurries possible.  Highs will be in the teens and lower 20s.
Outside of lake snow east of Lake Ontario Thursday night into Friday, our weather will remain quiet into the start of the weekend.  Highs will be in the teens Friday with low 20s expected Saturday."
