The TWCNY Weather Forecast:
"Cool & Quiet Overnight, A Warm Start to the Week.
High pressure will provide cool and quiet conditions overnight under a mainly clear sky with lows generally in the upper 40s and low 50s. After starting Monday off mostly sunny and dry, some extra clouds are expected to work in from the west along with a few developing showers and storms. Despite that, it will be warm with temperatures climbing into the low and mid 80s.
We should be able to tap into a drier air mass Tuesday; however, a very isolated shower/storm cannot be completely ruled out (especially late in the day) as our next system of interest approaches. Showers and storms look more likely on Wednesday and temperatures will end up above average through the middle of the week with highs staying in the low/mid 80s.
At this point, the forecast calls for the return of dry weather Thursday and Friday with highs dropping closer to the mid 70s."

The doorways of what was once called the "Wheeler Block" are now decorated with jardinieres of yellow and purple pansies.
At the Maines' home on McCabe Road - a inviting setting for a hot summer day!
From Huntington Place, the view of the big old barn, built in 1885 by Ruben Tower to replace an earlier structure that burned, is nearly obscured by the rapidly-growing Black Walnut trees.
How large is this Walnut plantation?

IN THE MAIL
a letter from
Bob VanDenbergh,
OUR VETERAN ON THE RUN
"I want to express my sincere gratitude to the more than 250
individuals, families, businesses and fraternal organizations that supported my
efforts on behalf of the Wounded Warrior Project. Granted, there was help from outside this area, but the bulk
of support I received was from this little piece of rural upstate New
York. Once again you have shown
your compassion and willingness to donate to a worthy cause.
Congratulations and thank you Deansboro, Oriskany Falls and
Waterville. You stood up for our wounded
warriors at a time when they could definitely use our help. A package containing $13,717.93 was
sent to the Wounded Warrior Project last Thursday.
A special thanks goes to Patty Louise (The Waterville
Times), Flip Brown (At Home in the Huddle) and my wife Mary Beth (social media)
for keeping folks aware of the project and our progress throughout the year.
I live in a truly special
area. It has a huge heart and I am
proud to call it home.
Gratefully,
Bob VanDenbergh
