For the Record!

Just a quick blog post before I head out to find more pictures to let you know that
You don't need to travel far!

At the Cleary residence on Fuess-Cleary Road.

A favorite view any time of the year.

On Fairgrounds Road.

The "Wheel Days" backdrop.

Another field of Sunflowers
just a few hundred feet south of the junction of Swamp Road and Route 12 in North Brookfield.

Judging from photographs posted on Facebook, yesterday, the colors in this swamp just south of Paris Green on Doolittle Road are as bright now as they were on the 20th.

A Personal Note

There's a famous quotation - "a day that will live in infamy" - from a memorable speech given by President Franklin D. Roosevelt following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

To me, Dale Meszler, and Mabel Bushee, those words could well describe the long-awaited delivery and placement of the Memorial Bandstand Monument on September 29, 2010.

It should have been a wonderful event, but it wasn't!

This flashback is for Dale and Mabel!

We need a "reunion"!
