It's Garbage Day
56 degrees at 5:15 a.m.

The Weather Forecast from TWCNY:

"More Great Weather, Warm and Muggy

The great weather will continue into the start of this upcoming week with more sun and even warmer temperatures today and Tuesday.  Highs will make the low to mid 80s Monday afternoon, and mid to upper 80s Tuesday!  Humidity levels will creep up a bit more so come Tuesday too.

Late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning it now appears a cold front will in fact slide through with some clouds and possibly a few scattered showers/storm.  In the wake of the front, a cooler and drier air mass will settle in later Wednesday into the last half of the week."

If you wonder what's come over the folks in these photos,
you must not have heard about the
a freezy fad that's been flooding the country and has, so far, raised $70.2 million for the ALS Association.

"The Waterville Cross Country team was nominated by the Waterville Cheerleaders to do the ALS ice bucket challenge. Coach Cyndee Lachman accepted said challenge and in turn would like to nominate WCS Superintendent Chuck Chaffee, the entire Waterville Board of Education, and the lovely Sheri Salm Brennan. We have also contributed monetarily to ALS research www.alsa.org, and we hope you do the same."

Among those making solo splash appearances on Facebook have been Mark Barnes, Dan Friebel and Jarrod Waufle.

"The bell finally rang. Pedro jumped out of his chair and headed for the door. He looked over his shoulder to see if Julio was coming. When he turned back around, he almost ran directly into Miss Hollis. 'Excuse me, miss.' 'Pedro, I have a job for you.' Enter the world of Pedro Rodriguez, a seventh-grader in a small city with a complicated family life. In this story, Pedro learns that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one reason that some kids his age have trouble paying attention in class. In the process, he also improves his research skills."
