It's Garbage Day
10.8 degrees and overcast at 7:00 a.m.

"Cold and Blustery Today,Areas of Heavy Lake Snow Redevelop Late Today

Another arctic cold front will swing through today with blustery conditions and a round of passing snow showers.  Any accumulation will be fairly minimal, although watch for some slick and changeable travel.  Temps will remain frigid with highs only around 20 and wind chills remaining around and at times below zero.  The lake snow machine will fire up again towards the end of the day with heavier squalls developing, mainly north of the thruway.  Lake Snow Warnings and Advisories are in place.  Where we're not picking up the lake effect there will be frigid wind chills with Wind Chill Advisories in place for much of the region.  High pressure will arrive tomorrow with any lake effect tapering early and most of the day bringing sunshine.  It will be cold and brisk with highs only in the low to mid teens.

Some slightly milder air will arrive on Saturday with highs near 30.  There will be limited sun with a few spotty flurries and light snow showers.  We'll have to watch a larger storm system Sunday into Monday with the chance for some area-wide snow.  As of now it looks as though the worst of this storm will pass to our south.  Another shot of bitter cold will follow for the first half of next week. Keep warm!"
